I read once that cocaine takes 72 hours to pass through your system. Whether this was true or not didn’t concern me, I held onto the idea. 72 hours to get over the drug, a love, a life. 72 hours of mourning. 72 hours to push past pain and find yourself. 72 hours to overcome addiction. 72 hours loaded with guilt, alcohol and sex. 72 hours to find the other side of hurt. 72 hours to find pleasure in existing. 72 hours… and you can get past anything.
